Polish Heritage Day – 6th of May 2018

We would like to invite you to celebrate Polish Heritage during an event organized by PBIC at Harpur Suite on the 6th of May 2018.

The event is a part of a bigger, nationwide initiative of The Polish Embassy in London to establish a Polish Day in the United Kingdom. (find out more)

This year’s theme is 100th years of Polish Independence. It was on the 11th of November 1918 when Poland after 120 years of  non-existence restored its’ sovereignty. It’s an important year for all Poles and PBIC makes all the effort to commemorate these dates and to make it possible for us to celebrate together as well as share our heritage with the Bedford Community.  (find out about other historical projects within PBIC)

On the 6th of May 2018 a Polish Flag will fly from Town Hall…

Celebrations will start at 11AM with a mass at St.Katbert’s Church (Polish church in Bedford at Mill Street) followed by a traditional Polish dance (12AM) at Bedford Town Square. We sincerely invite you to take part.
